About
Lindsay.
In the 15+ years I’ve been a Bowen Therapist, I have seen the most amazing things happen for my patients. I qualified in 2007 at European College of Bowen Studies and 5 years later, I qualified to train Bowen Therapy students nationwide to qualification level.
Over the past 20 years I have been fascinated by the workings of the human mind, body and soul and with a love of learning, am constantly exploring and gaining further understanding based on new studies. I have a particular interest in understanding chronic stress and the debilitating impact it can have on the vagus nerve which in turn negatively impacts every system in the body.
In my practice I have seen first hand the invaluable body wide support The Bowen Technique can offer for anxious and stressful situations, whether as a consequence of life traumas or in managing day to day stressors. I have recently spent time studying the critical role of managing our immune response to avoid spiralling into a chronic inflammatory loop.
Additionally I am a practitioner of McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release, I hold a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, a Diploma in Nutritional Science and have recently undertaken further studies to strengthen my approach to Functional Health solutions. Together, this rich base of skills provides a solid platform to offer an informed approach to health.
I believe that given the right conditions, our bodies are capable of adapting to achieve high levels of regeneration, restoration and healing. Bowen Therapy appears to set up the right conditions to help you reset and get back on track to restoring health and getting you feeling more like yourself.
"Lindsay helped me on the road to recovery after heart surgery. I had 4 sessions with her and my wounds are healing well and I am feeling much better. Lindsay’s treatments were tailored to my requirements and I would highly recommend her."
